North Korea v USA live: Latest news as Donald Trump hits out at China after missile test

Donald Trump and Shinzo Abe vow to take ‘all necessary measures’
Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe and Donald Trump agreed the need for more action against North Korea in the wake of the latest missile test. Mr Abe told reporters that repeated efforts by the international community to find a peaceful solution to the North Korean issue had yet to deter Pyongyang."International society, including Russia and China, need to take this seriously and increase pressure," he said.

Mr Abe added that he backed Mr Trump's “commitment to taking all necessary measures to protect allies".Washington is "done talking about North Korea".Nikki Haley, US Ambassador to the United Nations, warned the US is “done talking about North Korea” and China must decide if it is willing to impose stronger UN sanctions on North Korea.

She said any new UN Security Council resolution "that does not significantly increase the international pressure on North Korea is of no value", adding that Japan and South Korea also needed to do more.

China rejects Donald Trump’s criticism on North Korea
There is no link between North Korea's nuclear programme and China-US trade, a senior Chinese official said on Monday, after Donald Trump said China had done nothing for the US on North Korea. On Saturday Mr Trump tweeted: “I am very disappointed in China. Our foolish past leaders have allowed them to make hundreds of billions of dollars a year in trade, yet they do NOTHING for us with North Korea, just talk.

“We will no longer allow this to continue. China could easily solve this problem!”

Asked about his tweets, Chinese Vice Commerce Minister Qian Keming said: "We think the North Korea nuclear issue and China-US trade are issues that are in two completely different domains.

“They aren't related. They should not be discussed together."

He added: "China will continue to work together with the international community to promote the denuclearisation of the Korean peninsula, and China is also willing to work with the US side for more balanced development of the bilateral trade relationship."

Nitish Kumar's Move 'Unfortunate': Sharad Yadav Confirms He Is Not Happy

NEW DELHI: Sharad Yadav today broke his silence on party colleague Nitish Kumar's stunning political change-up and made it clear that he disapproves. "Whatever happened is very unfortunate, the mandate by the people was not for this," the veteran Janata Dal (United) leader told reporters outside parliament.

Nitish Kumar last week ended his two-year mahagatbandhan or grand alliance with Lalu Yadav and the Congress and revived his partnership with the BJP after an acrimonious parting four years ago.

The Chief Minister, after resigning on Wednesday, said he felt "suffocated" and referred to Lalu Yadav's son Tejashwi's refusal to resign as his deputy despite corruption charges. Some Janata Dal (United) leaders went public with their criticism of the swap but Sharad Yadav had till now communicated only through his silence and occasional tweets critical of the BJP-led central government.

The 70-year-old was replaced as party president by Nitish Kumar a year ago, a move designed to give the Chief Minister a free hand in decisions ahead of the 2019 national election. As Nitish Kumar's stand-in in Delhi, Sharad Yadav recently attended opposition meetings to decide on candidates for president and vice president.

After Nitish Kumar broke with the opposition and backed government candidate Ram Nath Kovind for president, there were questions within the ranks of the opposition on whether Sharad Yadav really represented his party.Reports suggested Sharad Yadav kept in touch with opposition leaders and shared his disapproval of Nitish Kumar reuniting with the BJP/

Lalu Yadav claimed Sharad Yadav had called him and sided with him. "He has been in touch and he told us he is with us," Lalu Yadav told NDTV.Critics have suggested that Sharad Yadav, a former union minister, is angling for a cabinet berth in the Modi government and his silence on Nitish Kumar is a bargaining tactic.

On Saturday, Lalu Yadav asked Sharad Yadav to lead an anti-BJP front and then repeated the offer for the cameras. "I appeal to Sharad Yadav-ji who has been our leader... whom we consider our leader, to come forward and fight the BJP. Take the lead role in this," he said.

Cristiano Ronaldo tells Neymar on WhatsApp: Don't quit Barcelona for PSG - report

The Brazil superstar is edging towards a world-record move to Paris Saint-Germain.
Express Sport understands PSG were last night closer to a £196million deal for Neymar.
With the 25-year-old seriously considering his future, Ronaldo has apparently taken it upon himself to offer Barcelona's winger some advice.

The pair have huge respect for each other amid their club rivalry and share Nike as a sponsor
As a result, Ronaldo and Neymar talk away from football and are claimed to have been in contact on WhatsApp over the past few days.Ronaldo, though, has not moved to ensure one of Barcelona's top stars quits the Nou Camp.

Instead, the 32-year-old feels Neymar must stay with the Catalan giants or face seeing his career go backwards, Spanish outlet Diario Gol claim.Ronaldo has warned Neymar joining PSG would be taken a big step down.

The Portuguese believes only Madrid are a bigger club than Barcelona in world football, despite the financial pull PSG now offer.Even with the big project being proposed at the Parc des Princes, Ligue 1 does not have the same appeal as La Liga or the Premier League.Diario Gol adds while staying at Barcelona is Ronaldo's advice to Neymar, joining Manchester United could also be an option.

Jose Mourinho is in the process of rebuilding the club as they look to return to Europe's elite.
And while the United boss has ruled out moves for the likes of Ronaldo and Gareth Bale, the potential availability of Neymar could be of interest.

Manchester United have been linked to the Barcelona man in the past. And if Neymar still has the firm idea of leaving the Nou Camp, waiting for an offer from United may be preferable to signing for PSG.At Old Trafford, Neymar would still be able to spread his image internationally and have the stage to clinch the Ballon d'Or.But staying at Barcelona alongside Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez is what Ronaldo believes Neymar should do.
